Legal Question in DUI Law in Washington
licence revoked
My licence was revoked in Washington state 5 years ago for DUI. I now live in Texas and they won't allow me to get a drivers licence until I take care of the revocation. I can't seem to figure out what I need to do to get a TX driver licence

Re: licence revoked
Contact the Department of Licensing in Washington to determine the status of your license and how to end the revocation.

Read your complete question again. You have stated the answer.
Take care of your FTA in Washington and eventually you will be in a position to reinstate your driving privelege. Until you do so, you will not be able to obtain a driver's license in any state in the union. Texas and Washington, along with the rest of the country, have an interstate compact that essentially prevents offenders from escaping penalties and obligations by moving from state to state.
It may be possible to resolve the matter without returning. Consult an attorney in the jurisdiction (county) where the DUI was filed.
Re: licence revoked
You will need to resolve the Washington State DUI. If there are still pending issues on your court case you will want to contact a defense attorney that works in the court system.
If there are no unresolved issues regarding the DUI charge itself, there may be reinstatement issues you need to clear up with the DOL (for example, they may require a 60 day treatment blue sheet from you).
If you need help with the underlying DUI in the King/Pierce/Kitsap area contact me directly for more assistance. Also, if you want assistance dealing with the DOL I know an attorney that handles many DOL issues.
