Legal Question in DUI Law in Washington

Statue of Limitation on DUI cahrges from Washington State

I have two cases still active in Washington state from charges in 1999 and 2000. How long can they keep these hanging over my head, or what do I need to do to deal with withoug having to go abck to Washingron State?

The statute of limitations applies to filing charges. If the cases were filed and you got a warrant these can hang over your head forever. To deal with this with minimum contact with Washington you should hire a local attorney to work out a deal so you'll just need to appear, accept the deal, and return. But, I don't think you can wrap them up without appearing at least once. Contact me directly if you'd like help with the cases.
