Expense Reimbursement
As a POA, can I be reimbursed for my expenses (travel, hotel) to handle affairs for principal, even if I am a relative?

You will need to check the document and it may differ some based on the state in which it is effective. You have a fiduciary duty to the principal. Best answer is to see a lawyer so that you don't breach that duty.
