trust funds at nursing homes
two questions. how long can a nursing home hold a trust account? an account used for hair cuts and personal needs. How much can a washinton state nursing home charge for copies of charge notes. this one wants 83 cents for the first 20 . 63 cents every page after that.

Re: trust funds at nursing homes
Seems as though they might need a month or so to wrap up their accounting, but not a lot longer than that. They are required to keep records, so it shouldn't be that tough to reconcile and close out and issue a refund.
In litigation, 20 cents per page is considered a reasonable rate for copy charges.
If you want their charge notes, you might want to talk to a lawyer. It's easier, I promise.
Hope this helps. Elizabeth Powell
