Legal Question in Family Law in Washington
Want 21 year old out of house
I have had numerous problems with a verbally abusive child (21). Cops come to the house repeatedly to try and get her out. She won't leave. What are my rights? She doesn't work, doesn't pay rent and is pregnant.

Just this once I find myself not in agreement with Mr. Steuart. You could consider treating her as a tenant. On or before the 10th of May give her a 20-day notice to leave, and June 1 you can evict her.
Cops will appreciate having a writ to work with. However, given your circumstances an DV order would work, too. You are blood relatives living under the same roof, so the DV court would have jurisdiction.

You may consider an antiharassment protection order. (RCW 10.14.080, see 10.14.020 to get a sense of the situations it would apply to). Then change the locks, pack up their stuff (for the move out (police will observe the pickup event) keep a few certified copies of the order on hand and call the police if the person comes around after that.
