Adult Adoption
I am 32 yrs old and I have a friend who has been like my mom for the last 24 yrs. I want her to become my legal mother. My birth mother is deceased. How do I go about having my friend adopt me?

Adult adoptions are fairly straightforward, inexpensive and fast in the state of Washington. Practice varies from county to county so I can't be exact without knowing where you are.
