Legal Question in Family Law in Washington

Changing Name due to Marriage

I am getting married in 9 days. I would like to add my husband's last name to my maiden name (no hyphen). It would be: Myfirstname mymiddlename mymaidenname hislastname. When signing paperwork, checks, etc, do I have to sign mymaidenname hislastname on everything? Or legally, can I use either? I am planning on adding his last name legally to all my documents (SSN, driver's license, bank accts, etc).

Thanks!

Re: Changing Name due to Marriage

You can use any name you want. However, if you wish to legally chamge your name, you have to go to your local district court in the county of your residence and go through a formal name change if you wish to retain all four names. The system only allows for three names.
