Legal Question in Family Law in Washington
child case
i had a girl friend about a year ago. we moved from each other. and she married a another guy. she also had a daugter. then her family had heard a romer that the father was not the biological father and it might be minds. the girl also looked like me more then the guy she married. and i know they did not do a test to see who is the father. and i heard he already knew about me and her.
My question is do i have the right to find out if she is mind? what should i do?

Re: child case
The mechanism would be to bring a paternity action, and assert that you are the father. You will want to have evidence that would raise an issue about the husband not being the father, in terms of time, e.g. mother and husband were only married for 7 months before birth of child. Testimony from other people is better than your testimony (less personally interested). I also would caution you that raising this issue, if you are successful, will result in long term personal and financial commitments. You should consider consulting with an attorney on this matter.
