Legal Question in Family Law in Washington

Child Custody

I have custody of my two children and have had for 10-years. My ex and I are supposed to discuss major decisions. Now classes in school are being changed without my knowledge, paperwork being signed without my consent. If I have custody, does my ex have any rights to signing paperwork of any kind. Drivers licenses are coming up next and I don't think they are responsible enough to have one yet. Thank you

Re: Child Custody

Without looking at your parenting plan, I would say you have joint custody, and major decisions are probably indicated as requiring joint approval (and has a dispute resolution process specified). You should use the dispute resolution process (whatever it is in your parenting plan) to act on some of the most recent past decisions.

I'd be happy to help you with this process. Christopher K. Steuart [email protected]
