Legal Question in Family Law in Washington
Child custody/ endangerment
My ex has custody of my 8 yo son. He has just split with his wife of two years and she has contacted me and informed me of their abusive relationship. While my son was not abused physically, I fear that he will be next. My relationship with his father was also abusive as well as his previous ex-wife. His current ex-wife is afraid to come forward in court because of the extensive history of abuse. What are my options? I have not proof of the abuse other than some emails back and forth between the ex-wife and myself.

Re: Child custody/ endangerment
The ex's wife's contact with you may well be enough for you to proceed with a modification.
If you are in or near Olympia Thurston County you cannot go wrong with Rick Bartholemew. You can find any licensed attorney at wsba.org.
This is not self-help law. A consult now can save you a lot of effort, money and grief. Print the emails and take them with you.
