Legal Question in Family Law in Washington
Child Custody
My ex-wife and I were married in Kansas. I then joined the Navy and we moved to Washington where my daughter was born. We were later divorced in Washington, I got out of the Navy and moved back to Ks. My ex has had primary custody, re-married a Sailor, and he's due for orders soon. Can I get custody of my daughter so she doesn't have to move every three to five years?

Re: Child Custody
If your daughter is in WA, then WA law applies. Unless your former wife agrees to the change in residential arrangement there is little chance of changing the arrangement. When she moves from WA with her new husband she will have to file a notice of relocation, and you can object, but you will probably not get a favorable resolution out of that even if you lived in WA, and living in KS makes the probability of a favorable resolution even less likely.
