Legal Question in Family Law in Washington
child custody
my soon to be ex husband who left me and our kids about five years ago is seeking custody of our 3 children.he has made minimal effort to be part of their lives since, and is using the fact that my kids lived with my mom for the past year because i was having a hard time, she passed away 2 months ago. Is there something I need to do or will the facts just speak for themselves?

Facts don't speak for themselves, you have to make sure they are reported accurately and completely and documented if practical then supported by other observers. This is what people retain attorneys to do.
