Legal Question in Family Law in Washington

Child custody

After 5yrs with the child living with me in California the judge decided that for the best intrest of the child he move with his mother in ohio for a year then back with me for a year and so forth. I am moving to Washington in june so what I am asking is when i get there can I start a temp order for him to stay with me since I am not in California anymore? Or is there a waiting period I need to obey before starting the process. When I move does Washington or will it honor the orders we got in place now? Thank you

Re: Child custody

The state in which the first custody order was made remains the home state so long as one parent continues to live in that state. If neither parent is living in the home state, then a state in which the child lives is the logical choice for home state.
