Legal Question in Family Law in Washington

Child intergration into parents home.

Currently my husband and his ex-wife are undergoing a custody battle. My husband has had custody of his two sons, ages 12 and 9, since the youngest was 8 months old. She signed them over in the divorce. She has had some extra time with the boys over the last two years and now she wants joint custody on the grounds that they were fully intergrated into her home. Now a guardian ad litem has been put in place to determine the intergration into her home. What will he be looking for and how does one show proof of intergration?
