Re: How old can a child be to say where they want to live

The child can say where they want to live any time they want to. For their desire to be legally determinative: 18 years old. Courts are loath to change a parenting plan without agreement or a substantial reason to support the change over the objection of a parent, and a child wanting to change residence is not of itself a substantial reason.
