child support of college age child

At what age does a parent no long have to pay a child, child support when the child lives on there on and has a full time job but maintains 15 credits in college, and are both parents resoponsible to pay child support to this child or just the one that was responsible for child support after the divorce?

Under Washington law, unless there is a deviation ordered by the court, or there is a provision in the child support order requiring a parent to pay post secondary education, child support ends at age 18.

The general principle controlling on this issue is the language of the Order of Support. If it prescribes post-secondary support then that is what is enforceable. Usually a new order that defines the amount each parent is obligated to on post-secondary support is done. Both parents are obligated to support the child (look at the Child Support Worksheet that should be attached to the Order of Support), it is just that the parent with whom the child lives does not write a check. Without the order it is difficult to give a more conclusive answer.
