Legal Question in Family Law in Washington

Changes to child support and insurance requirement

My current order requires my ex-husband to pay me child support for me to provide medical insurance for our daughter who lives with him. Our son lives with me and I provide the medical insurance for him. I would like to change the order so that my ex provides insurance for our daughter and discontinues paying me child support. I will provide insurance for our son. How do I go about making this change? We live in different States - WA and CA - and I have a protection order against him so we have no contact.I don't want to change anything else or go over the whole agreement.

Thank you for your prompt response.

Any modification to an existing family court order requires what is called an OSC hearing (order to show cause). If you would like prompt, affordable legal assistance in this matter, contact us directly today for a free phone consultation.
