Child Support Modification
I want to petition for CS modification. Are there any self-help or legal help centers available? What are the conditions for considering father's girlfriend's income in CS award? Any tips on how to do subpeona's (school, financial and car records)? Will the court serve notice or do I have to? Can I require father to carry life insurance for son? Do I have any influence in seeking beneficiary to be a blood relative of child? How long do these modifications usually take, from start to finish (is there an average range)? I appreciate any advice you can offer.

CS Modification
There is an expediter in most courts that will assist you in compelting the forms. There are self help legal centers in Seattle and in most large cities. As a general rule the court does nothing. You must file and serve (have someone else serve the papers not yourself) There are requirments before a CS will be granted. You may want to talk to an attorney - if can not afford one check out the various legal centers that provide free service. good luck.
