Child Support

Child Support order from Minnesota - order states support will be paided until age 18 or age 20 if still in secondary school. What does exactly mean ? Is secondary school - High School ? And is support paid just until 18 or do they have to finish High School.

Secondary education generally means high school (grades 9-12). Post secondary is generally trade school or college. In this case it appears that support would end age 18 or graduation from high school but in no event later than the child's 20th birthday. Some of these types of support termination clauses have a normal progress provision included (so that the child can't just keep dropping courses or drop out and reenroll a semester later and keep support going.
