Legal Question in Family Law in Washington

child support

Hello,

This is my question. I would like to know where if there is one I could get the form to stop a garnishment until Paternity has been established. I signed saying that I was the father because the mother and I were together. Sine then we have separated and I have filed with the courts to ask them to do testing. However while the papers are being pushed around I am getting 500.00 dollors withheld out of my paycheck for a child that is not mine. Could you please tell me the name of the legal form that I need to file with the courts to ask for a suspension of child support withholdings until the paternity can be established.

Re: child support

If the child is two years old or older, you are completely out of luck. You are now the father.

Go online to courts dot wa dot gov. Look for forms. Look for the paternity section. The forms are all there.

You would really benefit from having a consult with an attorney who can review the issues with you and advise you accordingly.

There's more to this than 'the name of the form". Hope this helps.
