If the period of support has expired there is no remedy for seeking to continue support. So if the support order is expired it cannot be revived. If there is a provision that establishes an obligation of post-secondary education support in the order, the order can continue, but if it is only the provision that a party may petition for post-secondary education support, the petition has to be filed before the support obligation expires. So if the support obligation expires this spring and specifies 18 years of age and graduation from high school as the end of support you better act quickly (if it is not already too late). You only have to petition before the termination, the matter does not have to be resolved before expiration of the order.
