Legal Question in Family Law in Washington

Child Support Upgrade

In the state of Washington, I have learned that you can return to court every two years and have it adjusted to the increase in income. I am also under the impression that Washington state has a standard of living guideline that determines the total child support paid. I used the services of the Kitsap County Courthouse Facilitator to gain a legal residental schedule (child custody) The Courthouse Facilitator is also a liscensed attorney. When the child support calculation sheet was figured they asked about day care expenses. Since I am a student, day care expenses vary. Under the circumstances, we decided it best to give an average figure. My question is, is documentation/proof of child-care expenses necessary in determining child support? If the expenses vary yet, still stay within an average range, what amount of impact does that have on the determination of child support payments?

or any other information that may pertain.

child care and child support

you can include the child care in the child support payment in which case it is automatically paid to you through the registery. Alternatively you can have it paid directly to you. the amount is generally a percentage of the cost. If it is paid to you you have to collect it since it does not go through the registery.

there is no "right" way to do it since both options have benefits.

Yes you can go in and modify child support if there is a change in circumstance etc. and the support schedule is updated from time to time.
