Legal Question in Family Law in Washington

Child support/transporation

my sons father has decided to move to HI from WA. He told me I will have to pay for 1/2 the airfare when my son visits, is that true? Since he is moving by choice?

Re: Child support/transporation

I don't know, these are issues that may be controlled by existing orders. The law does not stand in isolation from facts (and existing orders are facts). What does your current support order say regarding transportation costs? What does you current parenting plans say about responsibility for transportation of the child? Is your son, his son also? If so, who is the primary residential parent? There are whole layers of questions that need to be answered to determine what should or will happen under existing orders and what will happen if a party requests a modification of the existing orders.
