Legal Question in Family Law in Washington
children chosing which parent to reside with
What is the legal age that a child can chose to make a decision as to which household they will reside in and/or that make changes to the parenting plan??
i.e. my daughter is 11, I am the custodial parent so she primarily lives with me except for the every other thursday thru monday and 5 weeks in the summer. She dreads these summers and her father is difficult to work with. When can my daughter make the choice when not to go for the 5 weeks any longer or make other scheduling decisions for herself that are different than the parenting plan?

18 years old, until then adults are responsible for managing these issues.
