clark countys not even the county i live in

is it against the law for clark county to be handling my case if i live in skamania county? can clark county get in trouble for not switching my case over?

You can be sued in a county where you do not live on a few different theories.

It isn't against the law, and if you have a valid reason to object if you fail to raise it and ask for the venue to be changed you can lose that right, and the matter will proceed in the other county.

Counties don't get blamed for this. A lawyer decided where to bring the action, not the county per se.

Criminal charges are brought in the county where the crime occurred; civil matters are generally in the county where the defendant resides, but once in a while, are not.
