Re: consequences of a child leaving thier parents home
Well, for how long is your mother out of town? A week, a month?
Can you get yourself back to your grandmother's house?
There are no consequences for you so long as there is an adult available to explain what is going on to a court.
If there is no adult available you have a few options. You can call the cops, you can call CPS.
Your mother is the custodial parent. That means she's responsible for keeping a roof over your head, feeding you and making sure you get to school, etc. So the fact that she's "out of town" does not suggest that she's doing that right now. She left you with your grandmother. That's perfectly appropriate when parents have to go out of town. So why your father elected to forcibly relocate you is not clear.
There's probably more to this story, up to you to share or not as you see fit.
If your father has taken you out of your school district, can you call your school and tell them why you are not in school? That will trigger the Becca Bill, where the school will report to CPS and your father will have to explain why he did what he did.
You don't have to discuss this with your father, his job is to follow the parenting plan.
Hope this helps. Powell
