Legal Question in Family Law in Washington

coparented child turning 14

My son is coparented and turning 14. Once he's 14, will he be able to decide if he's going to accompany one parent or the other to a special event? For example, if he is with his father for the week (per the parenting plan) and he wishes to attend a function with his mother for an evening, will he be able to make that decision on his own, without his father's approval?

No. The parenting plan controls until he is 18.
