copy VS orignal document.

My wife found and destroyed the original signed copy of our pre-Nup agreement. will a zerox copy work just as well?

As usual, it depends. The fact that she destroyed the original suggests that she is not in accord with the agreement at this time.

IF the document was recorded with the assessor's office, then a copy will work just as well.

IF the document was not recorded, then it is my opinion that you are going to have a harder time enforcing it.

Bottom line is pre-nups get tossed all the time, especially when one party changes their mind, thinks they had inadequate counsel or insufficient time.
