Legal Question in Family Law in Washington

Court again?

My ex abandoned our 25 yr. marriage. I have a decree that states he is to pay maitenance until I die or remarry. Due to my health, I have a very limited ability to earn a living. This is the 5th time I have had to defend the order. My financial and health situation has not changed. He continues to make very good income and is remarried. I do not have enough money to hire an attorney. Can he continue to keep taking me to court even though the judges continue to find in my favor?

Re: Court again?

You should be able to collect attorney's fees for your defense of the decree. After several failed attempts to modify the decree you may be in a position to seek CR 11 sanctions.
