Court support relief

I have joint custody of 2 minor children with my ex-wife,I have been out of work since 02/15/97,Icannot make support payments of 400.00 per. month! My Ex-wife harrasses me about it at school events & in front of others causeing shame & embarrassment publically!

Ex-wife harassment

(1) Support modification: Do it now. Each support payment is a new judgment against you. Modification does not operate retrospectively, even if you can'[t afford it. Maybe OSE, or whatever they call themselves these days, can do it for you. After all they do it for the payees.

(2) Harassment: File an anti-harassment action in the superior court. File it in forma pauperis and they will waive the filing fee.

ex-wife harassment

There is really nothing you can effectively do to stop her from her actions. However, since you have been out of work for six months you may be able to get the support amount reduced which will lower the back support you are accuring each month. Remember you are falling behind each month and if you have not paid anything for 6 months owe 2,400 in back support.
