Legal Question in Family Law in Washington

I want custodial parent changed

If there are issues in the custodial parents home and the child feels safer, less stressed, and more stable in the fathers home and wants the father to be the custodial parent with the mother having visitation what are the odds of the father getting this to happen if it was taken to court. The child is almost 14. How much of a say does the child have. There are issues of the mother yelling a lot and has come to hitting and there is one CPS case on her. The child desperatly wants to be in the fathers home but the mother is very confrontational and very disagreeable. I know we need an attorney but what are the odds of the father winning custody. He does have a wife and a stable home with other children.

Re: I want custodial parent changed

It is hard to calculate "odds" for these types of situations, and often the end result is not precisely what either party would want. I would need more information before I would make a recommendation on what course to take.
