Custodial Parent Fails to Pay Bills

My ex-wife - the custodial parent (she has full custody) took our minor child to a medical specialist and did not pay the bill. The collections agency is asking me to pay the bill. Am I legally obligated to do so?

Re: Custodial Parent Fails to Pay Bills

"Full custody" does not mean anything in WA, i.e. it is not a concept used under WA law. As to whether you are obligated to pay the bill, what does the order of support say, you are probably responsible for a portion of the bill under the order. I'd have to see the order of support to determine what portion of it you would be responsible for.
