How old does a child have to be before she can refuse visitation?

Assuming there is a parenting plan or residential schedule on file with teh court, in Washington State children are not granted the right to refuse residential time with the non-primary parent. If there is a basis to change the parenting plan you will need to file a modification action.

Until the child's eighteen birthday, the parenting plan determines "visitation." If you want to change that your going to have to get an adult to act.
