Legal Question in Family Law in Washington

Custody of an infant.

My girlfriend just had a baby about a month ago. Through her pregnancy she used to be violent, constantly hitting me when we disagree over certain things, views and goes as fars as throwing items in the apartment at me. I survived her days of pregnancy without having law enforcement involved...Three weeks after she had the baby, she threw some items at me, and physically hitting me while I was holding the baby. I called authorities and now we have a no contact order...What should I do as fars custody my lovely son is concern. I am worried if I continued living with her she might end up hurting one of us when she gets mad. Please help..

Re: Custody of an infant.

Where the paternity issue is will affect what you petition for, but you should begin the process to establish a residential schedule and child support order.
