Re: custody of my younger cousin

well the mother is no longer alive and the father is an alcholic and an occasional drug user. there is no phone in the house for her to contace anyone if anything was to happen. the father does not have a job and hasn't for a while. every now and then he might do a side job for someone that he knows.

This is a continuation of the question you were asking this morning with a few more facts. On these additional facts, you should think about whether or not you should be reporting to your cousin's school or directly to CPS.

The father is receiving SSI income for the daughter because her mother is deceased.

If you feel strongly enough about this to report to CPS, then carry on. Your local Bar association can provide referrals and if they have clinics they will tell you about them.

There is a fair amount of information on line - some useful, some useless.
