Legal Question in Family Law in Washington

My daughters father is an illegal from Mexico. He is on the birthcertificate and he has been out of the picture for 6 years. I want to go to court and get full custody but I have no way of getting hold of him.. His niece told me he was arrested and is to be deported. How do i get papers filed to get custody if I have no way of contacting him? What rights do i have.

You can file a paternity and parenting plan case, and conduct a diligent search for him, and then make a motion for alternative service, and after service by alternative means file a motion for default.
