death of exhusband

Married 27 years divorced spouse

dies I did not ask for half of retirement. Can I get half of the retirement from the County beings we were married so long? We never remarried to anyone else.

The distribution of the retirement should have been established in your decree (or the QDRO). You can always petition to amend the decree, and name the county as a 3d party defendant, but just because you can do it does not mean you will be successful.
