Legal Question in Family Law in Washington

Debts from Spousal and Child Supports

One week before the hearing my lawyer quited on me. I got fired from my job 2 days before the hearing and I went to Court without a lawyer. The decision of Spoual and Child Maintenance based on my previous earning. I did not know I could appeal to the decision when I had no job. Instead I only informed my Ex and the Judge. One and a half year has passed and I recently gove hired again. My friend told me that I will be in debts with that decision if I don't appeal now. Is that true? And if I appeal now will I still be responsible for the debts during my un-employment period even if my Ex received her Pensions and Child Support from the Government?

I don't have enough information to answer your questions. Is your divorce done now? Or are you still in court withthis case? You can appeal certain orders or decrees at certain times but only if there is a final order in effect. Please call me to discuss this matter.
