Legal Question in Family Law in Washington

I just was denied temp. spousal maintenance and retainer for an attorney due to husbands supposed lack of ability to pay. Have been married almost 5 yrs. I provided court 3 yrs. income tax returns and my financial statements. Husband lives at his parents home and only pays $200. 00 per month on a old judgement of his from 2005. Husband has to maintain our vehicle insurance of $50.00 per month. Husband makes $3,600.00 per month and I make $1,100.00 per month. All of my bills are in arrears of two or three months and my home will be in forclosure October 31, 2011 for 2009 property taxes. Husband has an attorney.I need to know what to do next without an attorney.

Somewhat surprising you weren't awarded some form of maintenance, but not unheard of. It's disfavored. Basically, never expect attorney fees unless in certain areas of law or limited circumstances (e.g. someone makes a motion then fails to appear at that motion).

You should really head over to www.washingtonhelphelp.org for their pro se discussions on marriage. Good luck.
