Divorce Decree
Can a divorce decree be modified so that there is a clear judgement requiring one of the participants to be responsible for a certain bill incured during the marriage. Which will allow the oter participant to take that decree to a lawer and have them removed from the responsibility of the bill?

Re: Divorce Decree
A debt accrued during the marriage may be assigned to one party, and generally is. A decree may be modified to correct a mistake or fraud. The action of a court assigning a debt has no effect on a creditors right to enforce the debt against both parties, although the party who as not not assigned the debt may make recovery from the other party (if there is anything to recover).
