Divorce Decree question

When a divorce decree states that both parties shall be equally responsible for all college or other education costs of the minor child and the child now is 21, can the college tuition be enforced?

Re: Divorce Decree question

What you are looking at is the provision regarding post secondary support. Not knowing ANYTHING else about your situation, the "minor" child reference is there because the child was a minor at the time the decree was entered, and the post secondary provisions are enforceable even if the child is no longer a minor.

Hope that helps. Elizabeth Powell
