Legal Question in Family Law in Washington
In a divorce proceeding, is there a difference for distribution of assets if the business is a Corporation or a Sole Proprietorship owned by a couple? The reason I asked is that my husband has our business under a corporation but truly and legally speaking is a sole proprietorship.

A corporation is truly and legally a different legal entity, but that said, generally the ownership of a corporation may be divided, most are, as each owner has a number of shares. So although it may be a bit more complicated it can be done.
