i am in the process of filing for a divorce, the reason is that my husband is a heavy crack user, is there any way to force him into treatment before i continue

Not legally. Try calling some of the counseling/mental health agencies listed in the orange pages (front) of your telephone book. They may offer intervention services for durg and alcohol abuse.
