If spouse is completely unavailable to sign documents, can the proceeding continue? How long for finalization?

If the party has been served and has not filed a notice of appearance, response or joinder, you can seek default 20 days after filing or service (whichever is later) and then on 91st day present decree, findings of fact and conclusions of law (and other documents as appropriate) that are consistent with the relief sought in the initial filing, to the judge/commissioner. If spouse has appeared you can still seek default, but you have to provide notice. If spouse has joined you can on 91st day seek to have the decree, etc entered if it is consistent with the petition.
