married september filed divorce december and husband in jail for temp. charges assault dec. too. lived together total 3 months in both of my homes. I owned one 12 years and closed escrow on one three days after we married. he is not on any title and we do not have any debts together or accounts. can he get any of my homes since we have only been together four months and married three? i paid all down and em deposit and payments come out of my soul account, which there was only one payment and he didn't pay any of.

The principle behind dividing property from a short term marriage is to put the parties back in the position they were in before the marriage.

Chances are quite good that your soon to be ex will not be taking the title to either of your properties, given the exigencies of your facts.

You will do better with counsel than you will do without. WA is a community property state, so theoretically your property is now co mingled, but the time period is so short that competent counsel should not have a hard time convincing the Court that you should not have to share.
