Legal Question in Family Law in Washington
domestic violence..
I need to know if there is any way that I can seek some kind of justice/relief. I got pregnat when I was 15 and in state custody. The father was 19. The stated did nothing reguarding the age differance and statatory laws. I have been through a dv evaluation and it has come back stating that I have ptsd and the father is a reaccoring trigger. Also, I'm harmless. To spite the horrifing childhood I've overcome. The father know's many detail's of this past and continually uses it to his advantage. He never hit me however he has hit walls next to my head , yelled , screamed, and threatened/ actlually used my daughter as a pawn/ tool against me. His continued vindictivness and mallisiousness tward me and my daughter have now become too much. It's been 14yrs of continued and constant attack's... Is there anything I can do... Thank's...

Re: domestic violence..
Hello: You need to contact an attorney in Seattle named David Moody. This is what he does best. He will not charge you to evaluate your case and talk to you.
That is regarding your claim against the state. I can't tell whether it is still viable or not, but it might be. Go find out.
As for your abuser - in Pierce County look online for the Domestic Violence Help Line, run from the Crystal Brame Center.
You remember her of course, the cop chief's wife?
There is a lot you can do, and a lot that can be done for you. If you say you need help, help will arrive.
That fast.
If you need to take your child and go someplace to call for help, just don't give him any hint of what you are doing.
There are trained professionals just waiting for your call.
