Legal Question in Family Law in Washington
Eminent domain
My Aunt has been residing in a home that is in the name of a live in boyfreind that she was with for 12 years they have seperated and have a child together wich she has custody of, her Ex has been making payments on his home since their seperation 3 1/2 years ago but has not been living in the hime. She has with their child, now, he wants her out and is doing everything in his power to do so including getting a court order for ejection. Can you tell me if there is anything she can do? She is not working and has nowhere to go with their child, she receives 400.00 a month in child support. I recently read an article on Eminent domain and was wondering if you could touch on this a bit, and send me some information on this thank you

Re: Eminent domain
I have no idea how the concept of eminent domain would apply to this situation. Where did you read about this concept being applicable to domestic relations situations? Please write back and tell me about what you have seen and where you saw it. But more to the point, this is a situation where there are issues of a domestic partnership and issues of child support. A little knowledge is a dangerous thing in this case. Your aunt needs to have a lawyer help her in this situation, plain and simple. Otherwise she will be out on the street or living with you in your home. Can you help her with the payment of attorney fees? Someone will have to. Otherwise, she also might try and get legal help from the Northwest Justice Project or, if she lives in Snohomish County, Snohomish County Legal Services. She needs to see alawyer IMMEDIATELY! Good Luck!
