An engagement ring
I would like to know WA State laws on a engagement that was broken by the man, and he gave an engagement ring as a gift after the engagement was called off by him. What are the laws on engagement rings?

A gift given after the termination of an engagement is the same as a gift any other time. Gift givers don't have a claim on the gift after it is given. A gift is without conditions, other than those intrisic to the object (e.g. responsibility for maintenance, security, liability for misuse, etc). Anything else is not a gift.
