Legal Question in Family Law in Washington

My ex-wife and i are changing our custody and child support and we both are in agreement and it is NOT contested. How much time has to go by until i can set a date in court? I heard there was a mandatory waiting period in the event a case is contested for the other party to be notified. What i mean is how far in advance roughly will they set the case after i make the date. I asked the court clerk and he said he couldn't tell me because that would be interpreting the law.

Thanks,

David

Each county has local rules relating to scheduling. In general if you have an agreed order you can go in anytime and get it signed.
