Legal Question in Family Law in Washington
Father of 1and1/2 year old is blood cousin to me...
My daughter was born a year and a half ago in the state of Washington. Her father lives in Nevada and we were never married. Her birth cert. says unknown in the father spot. Whats the laws on taking him to court for child support? Here's the catch...we are blood cousins. His mother is my fathers sister. Whats washingtons law on this?

Your familial relationship with the father of your child is irrelevant to the issue of whether or not you and your child are entitled to child support.
You are entitled to support; you can (and should) contact the Family Support Division of your local Prosecuting Attorney's office - and soon - to get the support action started. They will help you with this. If he denies paternity (based on the birth certificate) then DNA testing will be done to prove he's the father.
Don't confuse apples and oranges. In WA you could not marry him, but as you have shown you can certainly have a child by him. Go get the support action started.
Hope this explains it. Elizabeth Powell
